About homoeopathy

What is homoeopathy, and how is it different?

Homoeopathy is a system of medicine that chooses remedies for the individual person, not just the diagnosis. Your doctor considers your physical symptoms along with your temperament, sleep, appetite, and what makes you feel better or worse. Two people with the same condition may receive different medicines.

How long before I see improvement?

It varies. Recent, acute complaints often respond sooner, while long-standing conditions usually improve gradually over weeks or months. Every person is different, and Dr. Japa will review your progress at each visit.

Where exactly is the clinic?

The clinic is at B/5, Sonal Apartment, I.C. Colony, Borivali (West), next to the I.C. Colony fish market, inside H.N.G. Diagnostic Health Care. Use the Directions button for Google Maps.

What are the consultation charges?

Please ask on WhatsApp or call for current consultation details.

Your first visit

How long is the first consultation?

The first consultation is longer than a typical doctor’s visit, because homoeopathic case-taking is detailed. Please allow enough time. Follow-up visits are shorter.

Why does the first visit take longer?

To choose the right remedy, Dr. Japa needs to understand you as a whole: your symptoms, medical history, family history, lifestyle, sleep, diet and emotional well-being. This careful listening is the heart of homoeopathy.

Do I need an appointment?

New cases are seen by prior appointment. Please message on WhatsApp or call to book. For follow-ups, it’s best to confirm a time on WhatsApp too.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Bring any recent reports or test results, a list of all medicines and supplements you take, and a short note of your main symptoms and when they started. For children, bring their vaccination and health records if handy.

How often are follow-ups?

It depends on your condition. Acute problems may need a quick review, while long-standing conditions are usually reviewed every few weeks at first. Dr. Japa will suggest a rhythm that suits you.

Online consultation

How does online consultation work?

Message on WhatsApp to request a time. The consultation takes place by video or phone, and afterwards you receive your prescription. It works well for follow-ups and for patients who can’t easily travel.

How do I get my medicines after an online consultation?

After your consultation you receive a prescription. Medicines can be couriered to you, or you can buy them from a homoeopathic pharmacy of your choice.

Medicines

Can I continue my other medicines?

Yes. Homoeopathy is commonly taken alongside other treatment. Please don’t stop or change any prescribed medicine without speaking to the doctor who prescribed it, and tell Dr. Japa about everything you take.

Can homoeopathy be taken during pregnancy?

Only under qualified guidance. Please tell Dr. Japa if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy, and continue your care with your gynaecologist.

Children

Is homoeopathy safe for babies and children?

Homoeopathic medicines are prescribed in small, carefully chosen doses and are generally well tolerated by children. Dr. Japa sees many children and prescribes only after a full consultation. Please continue any treatment advised by your paediatrician.
